Cookie policy
Following the provisions of the personal data protection regulations, Fiere Internazionali di Bologna – BolognaFiere S.p.A. (hereinafter, the “Company” or “Data Controller”), through this document intends to provide all the necessary information regarding the processing of personal data carried out through the cookies installed on this website (‘Site’).
For any clarification on the processing covered by this information notice, you can contact the Data Controller in the ways indicated below.
1.1 Interaction with social networks and external platforms
This specific type of service allows interactions with social networks or other external platforms directly from the pages of the Site. It is understood that the processing of personal data by the relevant social networks, collected through such services, is exclusively subject to the privacy settings selected by each user for their account on the specific platform.
Our site uses Social Plugins from various social networks. These are tools that allow websites to connect to social media, enabling users to exchange information and interact between the content of the former with the latter. Among the social plugins possibly installed by the Data Controller may be included the so-called widgets, graphical command elements inserted in specific sections of the Site to allow users to access the plugin’s functionalities (e.g., the Facebook ‘Like’ button or the redirect to the Data Controller’s social pages). These tools, if present, can be deactivated with a click, by selecting your preferences through the appropriate panel accessible in section 3 of this Cookie Policy.
It is possible that the data collected through the plugins are not able to identify you. However, it is not excluded that, depending on the type of plugin or, more generally, the connected social network, the data collected could identify you as a user, regardless of the actual login to such platforms.
However, even if you are not registered on social networks, their active plugins on the Site can still send data to these platforms.
More generally, if the user does not want social networks to collect their data through these cookies, with a click they can simply deactivate the social plugins on our websites through the appropriate panel accessible in section 3, or block the “third-party cookies” function in their browser settings. In this case, the browser will not send cookies to the server when it finds embedded content from other service providers.
2. Cookie Management
When accessing any page of the Site, the user is shown a banner containing a brief information regarding the Company’s cookie management methods, as well as the choices that the user can make, who can also obtain more information by consulting this extended information notice. Before continuing with navigation, the user is asked to indicate his or her preferences regarding the installation of optional cookies on his or her browser, i.e. cookies that are not strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the Site and for correct navigation by the interested party, by giving or denying his or her consent to their use. To this end, the user has the option to allow their installation en bloc, by clicking on the ‘ACCEPT ALL COOKIES’ button, or to refuse them, by selecting ‘REFUSE ALL COOKIES’ inside the banner. Alternatively, you can make a more granular choice, selecting each specific type of cookie to be installed, by clicking on the ‘ACCEPT ALL COOKIES’ button, as well as find out more about it by clicking on ‘SHOW DETAILS’. It should be noted that, in line with the provisions dictated by the Italian Data Protection Authority in its ‘Guidelines for cookies and other tracking tools’ adopted on 10 June 2021(link), the switch to enable or disable statistical and marketing cookies is set to ‘off’ by default.
In addition, the user may at any time contact the Controller to request revocation of their consent or further information about it by communicating the ID displayed above.
3.HOW TO DISABLE COOKIES FROM THE BROWSER
As already mentioned, the user may revoke his or her consent to the installation of statistical and marketing cookies at any time, thanks to the special panel accessible, in addition to the initial banner, from the button in the bottom left-hand corner of the Site.
In any case, should you prefer, you can also manage cookies directly through your browser settings, in the manner indicated at the following links:
If you delete cookies in this way, however, you may remove the preferences you have set for this Site. For this reason you should visit this information page periodically to check them again.
Further ways to prevent the installation of cookies on the user’s terminal consist in the possibility of: i) rejecting third-party by-default cookies, by using the specific functions made available by some browsers; ii) activating the ‘Do Not Track’ option (automatic interruption of the collection of certain browsing data) available in most of the latest generation browsers; iii) activating the ‘anonymous browsing’ mode.
It should be borne in mind, however, that deactivating cookies may complicate or slow down browsing and full enjoyment of all the Site’s functionalities.
5.USER RIGHTS
Users may at any time exercise the rights granted to them by current legislation on the protection of personal data, by requesting from the Data Controller
● access: to obtain confirmation of the processing of data concerning him/her and further information on how it is carried out, as well as receiving a copy of the data;
● rectification: to obtain the correction or integration of your data held by the Controller, if inaccurate or incomplete;
● cancellation: to obtain the deletion of your personal data by the Company, when: (i) the data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed; or (ii) you revoke your consent to their processing (with reference to statistical and marketing cookies); or (iii) the personal data have been processed unlawfully; or (iv) the personal data must be deleted to comply with a legal obligation to which the Controller is subject;
● restriction: to obtain a temporary blocking of data processing by the Controller, with rare exceptions, when: (i) the data subject disputes the accuracy of his/her data, for the period necessary for the Company to carry out the necessary verifications; (ii) the processing is unlawful and the user objects to the deletion of his/her data, requesting instead that their use be restricted; (iii) the Controller no longer needs the data for processing purposes, but the data are necessary for the user to ascertain, exercise or defend a right of his/her own in court;
● portability: to receive your data, or have them transmitted to another data controller, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
Furthermore, the user may always revoke the consents given, without this affecting in any way the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point.
Finally, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint at any time with the Italian Data Protection Authority, also using the form made available by the latter (link).
